FAQs

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT ON MY FIRST VISIT?
Expect to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the intake form ( or download it here). After this, I will take you into the treatment room for a brief verbal intake to understand the reason for your visit.
During your firtst massage I'll begin with general techniques to pinpoint areas of tightness and/or pain. Using this information as well as the information from the verbal intake, we will discuss a treatment plan to achieve your goals as quickly and successfully as possible.

HOW LONG IS A REGULAR SESSION?
Ultimately this is up to you.  A normal therapeutic session lasts one hour, including time for a brief verbal assessment as well as follow-up time after the massage to get feedback about your experience and to schedule your next appointment(s).  Insurance companies will only pay for one hour of treatment per day, but you may pay out of pocket if you’d like to make the appointment 90 minutes.  For clients looking just to relax, I offer 30, 60, or 90 minute sessions.

WOKE UP FEELING KIND OF SICK, SHOULD I GET A MASSAGE?
No!  If this is day 1-4 of your illness, please call me to reschedule.  Your illness will be exacerbated by the massage. It will be doing myself, yourself, and other patients a service to reschedule your appointment for the following week.  Your consideration is greatly appreciated.

WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR MY MASSAGE?
Please see the insurance information page.
